We started out as a small group of customer support and product development experts, and these two disciplines are at the core of what we do to this day.

We are dedicated to building an outstanding product, constantly improving it, and offering world-class customer support along the way. Founded in Dublin, Ireland in 2014, ProcurementExpress.com has grown into a truly global company with offices all over the world and a client base to match. Over the years, we’ve successfully saved our customers across many thousands of dollars and countless hours by helping them to streamline and improve their spending practices.

Our Mission and Approach

We want to provide a simple, effective way for businesses to improve the way they handle their spending.

As CEO and Co-Founder, James’s role within the company has evolved over time. Nevertheless, he is always driven by the desire to grow ProcurementExpress.com into an industry leader that will stand the test of time. He aims to always put the customer’s needs first, consistently deliver value and to help build something of which everybody involved can be proud. Aside from his demanding but rewarding role as CEO, James is a keen runner and certified Judo black-belt, although the latter is now largely limited to play-wrestling his two kids.

Deepak Sharma

Engineering Head

Deepak joined the team after gaining a Master’s degree in Computer Applications, and eight years of work experience building software applications. As Engineering Head, his role at ProcurementExpress.com centers around overseeing the software development and working to optimize communication between departments. In his spare time, Deepak is a dedicated traveler, having already visited around half of the Himalayas region.

Johan Van der Merwe

Johan Van der Merwe

QA Tester

Johan has worked as QA tester with the company since early 2017. His work is centered around in-depth testing of the software and liaising with the development team to guarantee that a high-quality product goes out to every customer. He brings several years of experience to the role, which helps him to ensure that ProcurementExpress.com is constantly improving as a service. Outside of the office, Johan is an avid gardener, musician, and archer.

As a Full Stack Developer since 2018, Leena has the responsibility of optimizing the UI. She uses her Master’s degree in Computer Application and over seven years of industry experience to provide valuable skills and insight that enable ProcurementExpress.com to continue being a user-friendly, powerful product for customers. When she’s not immersed in code, Leena loves reading a wide range of books and listening to classical music.

Co-Founder and COO Richard has seen his responsibilities at the company morph over the years to fit the growing structure. Based primarily in the Ireland office, his role now mostly centers around direct consultation with customers to provide solutions. His 20 years of prior experience in business process automation help him work towards his goals of helping customers solve their problems and growing ProcurementExpress.com into an industry leader. Away from the business, Richard enjoys an eclectic range of music and spending time on his labor of love – restoring a 1900s farmhouse in County Meath, Ireland.

This perspective helps her to achieve her goals of developing ProcurementExpress.com into a success story, assisting team growth, and communicating the game-changing value of the service to new customers throughout the world. Besides marketing, she loves reading, plants, music and braais.

Since joining ProcurementExpress.com back in 2016, Arsalan’s goal as Product Manager has been to help build a world-class procurement application that provides genuine value to customers. He has previously worked as a Product Manager at Upwork (formally Elance) and once led an award-winning Saudi real estate initiative. Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his children, learning about history and politics, and playing cricket.

When he isn’t busy selling, Nathan mostly enjoys problem-solving, getting out into nature and spending time with his daughter.

Apart from improving his programming skills, Shivraj enjoys music, soccer and learning about emerging technologies.
